FA&E Supports UMass Memorial Initiatives On Behalf Of Children

Worcester, MA, August 20, 2004 — Worcester law firm, Fusaro, Altomare & Ermilio has supported two key initiatives at UMass Memorial Hospital. The firm, a major sponsor of the Injury Prevention Classic golf tournament, provides financial support to benefit children in the Greater Worcester community with injuries caused by accidents and lack of appropriate safety education. Proceeds from the tournament benefit such programs as safer and better playgrounds, helmet safety, car seat safety and Safe at Home packages for families to protect their children from household accidents. This year’s event will be held on August 23 at Worcester Country Club.

Additionally, FA&E has been a longtime supporter of UMass Memorial’s Neonatology unit that provides life saving care for premature infants or high risk infant births. According to Jenique A. Radin, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Development at UMass Memorial, “FA&E has donated both time and financial support of nearly $75,000, over the past ten years, to these worthy initiatives. Philanthropic and volunteer support such as the funds received from FA&E are critical to the hospital system in the recent financial crisis that has affected so many hospitals nationwide. Without these donations, much of the equipment and program needs would be delayed. UMass Memorial is proud of its relationship with its many generous donors who make it possible to provide world class health care to all residents in our area.”
