Thomas J. Scannell joined Fusaro, Altomare & Ermilio in 2003, as a Partner. Before joining the firm he was a partner in the litigation practice area at Bowditch & Dewey, Worcester’s largest law firm, where he had practiced since 1986.

Mr. Scannell specializes in all aspects of civil trial practice before state and federal courts of Massachusetts, with an emphasis on business and construction disputes, landlord and tenant issues, as well as personal injury. He also manages arbitrations and mediations for FA&E clients and serves as a neutral mediator. Mr. Scannell is a staunch advocate who focuses on delivering successful, prompt and efficient results.

Mr. Scannell earned a Bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the College of the Holy Cross, and he is also a magna cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School. While at Suffolk, he was an editor of the Suffolk University Law Review. Following law school, he served a one-year appointment as law clerk for late Chief Judge Francis Boyle in the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island.

Mr. Scannell is a member of the Worcester County Bar Association, and he is a conciliator for the Worcester District Court. He also serves on the Board of Governors for the Masonic Learning Center for children with dyslexia. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys golfing and fitness training.
